The Spanish Football Federation announced on Monday the suspension of football competitions in the country for an indefinite period, after the outbreak of the new Coruna virus.
According to the official website of the Spanish Federation, the Football Association agreed with the League, to suspend all football competitions in Spain, to prevent any threat to public health.
The Spanish Federation statement made sure to thank those who help fight the spread of the virus and show sympathy for those who lost their lives due to the epidemic.
As of March 23, more than 33,000 people had been infected with the new Corona virus in Spain.
For its part, the Association of Football Players in Spain, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, as well as the Supreme Council of Sports and the Spanish Football Federation and the League have called for the opening of a "continuous line of communication" with them, with a view to keeping them abreast of developments that may affect the players.
